The benefit of my extensive, specialized education and experience is to take you through the entire real estate process as easily as possible. And it's OK to have fun doing it.
Take the classes, pass the tests, pay the fees, hang your license with a brokerage and your in. Does that really qualify anyone to represent you in a real estate transaction?
I have been a REALTOR® helping both Buyers and Sellers -- and successfully completing over 100 transactions valued at more than $20 million.
By definition a REALTOR® is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. Not all real estate agents are.
I am a full-time REALTOR®. Not all agents are.
I am a member of the SEDONA VERDE VALLEY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. Ditto.
Since I enjoy meeting the challenge of matching a Buyer with a choice property, I have continued my education and qualified for my ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation. Fewer than 3% of all agents have done this. This allows me to be a member of REBAC
(Real Estate Buyers Advisory Council).
Additionally, I seem to attract clients that are boomers (born '46 — '64) like myself. So I have achieved my SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist) designation. Fewer than 1%.
Awarded an RSPS (Resort and Second-home Property Specialist) certification which included §1031 tax-deferred exchange training. Fewer than 1%.
Now, e-PRO technology certification program (Internet Professional). Fewer than 4%.
Just like most people living in and around Sedona Arizona, I am not a native. My wife and I moved from the northeast. When I was a kid my vision of Arizona was sand dunes. Not so. Check out the amazing Red Rock petroglyphs discovered during this local hike.
Before I elected to take early retirement from the corporate world I asked my closest friends to note my talents and attributes. The purpose was to analyze which direction my second career would take. I have kept those 3 x 5 cards and refer to them now. The following were their candid remarks: "people person, patient, teacher, tour guide, organized, translate between technical people and non-technical, good presentation skills, use the right words, don't offend people, computer skills, have a certain class, able to look at the big picture and work out the details, well thought out, calm, persistent, diplomatic, fair, ethical, disciplined, methodical and ... not a fuddy duddy".
